Work to date

As of yet, none of us have split off or really done anything without another. We all feel strongly about having a say in the designing process so we are working collaboratively to research further into visual styles. We are also looking into innovative designs for baby utensils i.e. bibs and cutlery. From research into this we have found that it has all been done before, which leaves me feeling uncertain of how we can "top" them; plus we are not inventors nor specialists in this area. I am coming to think that maybe we should focus on creating the lunch packs rather than the baby utensils if a decision has to be made between the two (we have been thinking four brand extensions may be a bit too ambitious in the time that we have).

Below are some images of research taken for floor plans, visual styles and baby utensils.

And so it begins...

I feel very optimistic and excited about carrying forth the creative brief for Ella's Kitchen. Creating a cafe/ shop space is something new which for me, although it is slightly similar to Experiential Branding in the second year, is certainly going to be a challenge.

Time management is something all team members feel very strongly about, this is our final unit and we want to ensure we stay ahead and do not fall behind. And so we have produced a Time Plan:

Ella's Kitchen: Time Plan

Hopefully this will help us keep on track.

We all have pretty different ideas of how we wish the cafe to look so plenty of research is underway into possible styles and looks. There will certainly be a country kitchen feel with a modern twist to keep in with the brand name but we must ensure it stays innovative to some extent, after all they are the leaders in innovative baby food packaging! This is giving me the opportunity to evaluate and think strategically about what would actually work in the cafe and to what the target audience will need and want to see.
